New Bella Carta website and blog!

As much as we've grown attached to our website and blog over the years, we decided it was time for a more modern, clean look. Now if you visit www.bellacartastudios.com you'll be greeted by our new website. The new site also hosts our brand new, empty looking blog (http://bellacartastudios.com/blog)! We plan to keep the old blog around until I can wrap my brain around how to transfer all of our posts to their new home...which could be awhile.

Please check out our new digs and let us know what you think! We love comments and they'd definitely be a nice addition to our singular blog post:)

Regina Photographers | Print Art

Kristen and I love using photos as art in our homes, and Bella Carta Studios offers a number of great print products that allow our clients to do the same.  In my eyes there is no better way to personalize the style of your home than to hang beautiful art that features you!  You’ve invested the time and money in having beautiful photos created, so why not put a few of your favourites on display for everyone to see?  We offer canvas wraps, standout mounted prints, and will soon be offering metal prints and acrylic prints.  I can’t wait!

I snapped a few shots of a large canvas wrap and 4 standout mounted prints that our client Danielle ordered recently.  They’re going to look great hanging in her house!

Brandi's birthday!

As my daughter would say, "Happy to you, Annie Banni!"

Over the last few years, Brandi and I have spent countless hours together photographing weddings, families, couples, and even women and their cats (we've all got to start somewhere!). We've spent late nights huddled together in front of a computer screen, strategizing and trying to figure out how the heck to run a business. We've gotten to be such close friends that we have the same thoughts, say the same things and make the same jokes (except for her collection of awful jokes - those are hers alone). If our appearances weren't polar opposite and I wasn't so much younger (hee hee), I think we could be twins.

Being my photography/business partner has it's perks (although I can't think of any right now), but it also requires a lot of patience, a sense of humour, and extremely well developed listening skills. Thankfully for me, Brandi has all of these qualities. She's done an awful lot of listening over the past few months, which I appreciate so much more than she realizes.

Brandi's more than willing to step up when there's something I can't do. There she is, my fearless business partner, standing on the top level of our stepladder because being that high up scares me and makes my legs shaky. Now that's a committed partner.

Happy birthday to my other better half! It's been a pleasure sharing a brain with you. I promise to never unfollow you on twitter.

Regina Wedding Photography | We have a winner!

Thanks to everyone who voted in our impromptu wedding bouquet contest. The bride with the most votes was Danielle! Yay, Danny! Our other lucky winner was Jenifer J. Yay, Jen! (I know we haven't met yet, but I'm assuming that when we do we'll immediately hit it off and shorten each other's names.) And because a blog post just isn't the same without pictures, enjoy the shots below of the beautiful florals at Danny and Craig's wedding. These flowers were done by Danielle's bridesmaid, Tanya, whose family runs the Wascana Flower Shoppe. We're lucky to have so many amazing florists in Regina, and Tanya is one of the best. Enjoy!
